Over the time period I have worked for the Center for Children and Families, Inc. (CCFI) the biggest thing I have learned about child abuse and neglect from a marketing stand point is that it is DIFFICULT to talk about. People tend to block it out, move on and past it. It's a hard thing to hear about, an innocent child being subjected to horrors that many of us can not or do not even try to imagine. Across our nation during the month of April a lot of child advocates try to get child abuse and neglect in the forefront of everyone's minds. This year, for National Child Abuse Awareness Month, the Healing Fields were planted for their very first appearance in Norman, OK.
